Late Shift, Green Light
EyeLon
He watches one pixel and assumes everything.

The Night Shift
At 2:17 a.m., EyeLon monitors a room of perfectly ordinary machines. One green indicator blinks. His eyes extend to emergency range before the second blink arrives. The coffee remains untouched; both hands report to the keyboard. He checks every terminal twice, distrusts the quiet one, and refuses to look away until the light behaves normally. The light knows this and has no plans to cooperate.
From The Desk
Coffee went cold at midnight. A harmless green light appeared at 2:17, so EyeLon has been typing with the urgency of a man preventing the moon from disconnecting while six perfectly healthy machines hum beside him. Please leave snacks outside, knock exactly once, and do not open the door; hinges create movement, movement creates indicators, and indicators extend the shift.
Keep both eyes on the green light.
